the national presidency of the Italian Catholic neighborhood and expressed his full sympathy for the pain of those affected by the earthquake that has invested and still invests the land of 'Abruzzo, and in particular the city of L'Aquila and several neighboring countries. To families who have lost loved ones that our prayers are constant so that God may welcome the dead at his home and give them the comfort of faith, in hope of new life and peace that comes from the Risen Lord.

In this regard, the Chair asked the AC national associations of parishes and dioceses throughout the country, and each member to take the lead and work in support of initiatives to help those who practice in these dark hours of suffering the consequences earthquake.
Since the first hours after the earthquake, the regional delegation of Catholic Abruzzo-Molise is coordinating and collecting a number of initiatives in support of so many people from CA that has become available to offer aid, basic necessities and above hospitality to those who have lost homes and belongings. Abruzzo diocesan associations closer to the affected area by the earthquake have taken action quickly, in communion with the local Churches and Caritas, to get water, clothing and food to Tornimparte and other small towns that struggle to get aid. Ac many regional, diocesan and parish in the rest of Italy are creating large and small signs of proximity, human and material. We recall, among many others, the initiative of the diocese of Rieti, offering hospitality to relatives of patients transferred to the hospital in the town of Lazio. Everywhere, from North to South, promoting time for prayer and solidarity.
the national presidency of AC in the knowledge that is needed now more than ever to act in communion with the Church and the institutions, and without letting go to personal actions, is in constant contact with Italian Caritas, which endorses the initiatives solidarity. In particular, the Presidency national support, through its extensive networks in dioceses and parishes all over Italy, the national collection of 19 April, after Easter Sunday, issued by the Presidency of the CEI.
The Italian Catholic Action, in making every effort to make available immediately, is already active in the design of an ordinary action to support human and material for later, when the lights go down, when they need to rebuild the fabric of society and the Church.
The AC, which does not give in to read the play action of the Risen Christ, stands in the heart of the Church and the country, next to all institutions, secular and ecclesial, because the emergency from turning into a great and genuine moment of national unity.
