LIVING WAY OF THE CROSS at Poggio Imperiale
Catholic Action of Poggio Imperiale in collaboration with the Parish of St. Placido Martyr and sponsored by the City of Poggio Imperiale, which organizes the LIVING WAY OF THE CROSS will be held the evening of Palm Sunday along the Via Corso V. Veneto.
Especially the youth group has strongly supported this event especially after seeing the movie made in 1993 when a similar event was organized by the Brotherhood of the Sacred Heart.
During a training meeting we reflected on how the world and the media would behave if the "Jesus event" occurs today.
From these considerations resulted in the determination of a public event each providing their own personal skills: who in the set, those in the texts, some in music, which the organization and so on.
are about forty appearances, most with many young adults some of whom have personally experienced 13 years ago.
To these must be added the many people behind the scenes appear without it affect the lights, music, costumes, shooting, etc ...
The Living Way of the Cross is a traditional respect for the biblical readings and comments will be those of Pope John Paul II for Lent 2005.
There will be special stage effects to discount to present the "Jesus event" that occurred over 2000 years ago.
The intention of the event, also shared by the parish priest Don Luca De Rosa, is to arouse in the faithful a deeper reflection on the drama and at the same time the sublimity of the last days of Jesus and also thanks to some specially designed stage effects by young people.
